HYBRID: The Gathering of Oral Histories and Church Histories

HYBRID: The Gathering of Oral Histories and Church Histories

Learn interactively about the key components of collecting the foundations of oral histories and our illustrious church histories. As oral histories were traditionally passed down from generation to generation over the centuries, we encourage all to step out on faith and collect the oral histories of your elders, grandparents and parents. Use the various technology and devices we have within our reach. An engaging experience and priceless opportunity to share with our youth and children, grant them cherished moments of meaningful stories and chapters expressed of days gone by as told in the voices of our elders.

Presented by Dr. Alphine Jefferson, Dept. of African-American Studies Dept., Chair, Randolph-Macon College and Hanover County Black Heritage Society, President, and Rev. Dr. Jerome C. Ross, Ph.D, Pastor of Providence Park Baptist Church.

This program will be recorded. The video premieres on Feb. 12 on our website (https://tinyurl.com/prladults), YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/pamunkeylibrary), and Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/PamunkeyLibrary/).
