Wiregrass Chronicles--Long Rows to Hoe

Wiregrass Chronicles--Long Rows to Hoe

Wiregrass Chronicles – Long Rows to Hoe, the first in a 4-book series, focuses on the early settlers and indigenous people in the Wiregrass region of Southeast Alabama. Rich in historical content, the book begins in 1927, with flashbacks to the Creek Wars of 1836-7, the Civil War, and World War I. From the story of a battle-hardened Confederate at Cold Harbor to that of a teenaged southerner recruited into the Union Army near war’s end, Long Rows to Hoe will engage the interest of Civil War buffs and lovers of historical and southern fiction. Glenda Stroud-Peace, a native Floridian and descendant of Wiregrass pioneers, continues to expand and share her knowledge of the Wiregrass in blogs on her website at https://www.glendastroudpeace.com/.
