Mutt-i-grees are dogs or cats from a shelter or rescue organization and often are a mixture of at least two different breeds. Just like people, they come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. Each Mutt-i-gree is unique, a wonderful mixture of colors and fur, a specific size and shape, with its own individual story of how it arrived at the shelter. Discussion of Mutt-i-grees' unique characteristics provides opportunities to discuss each of our own unique characteristics, as well.

Create your own Mutt-i-gree using art supplies or cut out photos of dogs or cats that resemble yourown pet or a pet you would like to own. Share something unique about your pet or the Mutt-i-gree you create, as well as something unique about yourself. We'll then work together to combine your creations into a mural or display.
