Take a break from the heat with a mountain adventure.  The Mountain Between Us is a survival, adventure, drama movie based on the 2011 novel by Charles Martin.  It stars Idris Elba and Kate Winslet as two strangers, a neurosurgeon and photojournalist, respectively, who survive a plane crash in the High Uintas Wilderness in northeastern Utah and are stranded with injuries, severe weather conditions, and a dog.  According to Common Sense Media, the movie involves scenes of mountain trek peril and romance, but no graphic violence.  Rated PG-13,, running time 1 hour, 52 minutes.
